AMCD Service Day 2020 Request for Proposals

The Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) is currently accepting presentation proposals for our AMCD Service Day being held on April 16, 2020, at St. John Church Oceanside, CA. The theme of the AMCD Service Day is Bridging the Gap between Mental Health, Faith, and Minority Communities.

This service will be provided to clergy personnel, community leaders, counseling professionals, and the Latinx community. Presenters will present to one of the aforementioned groups. Proposal submissions should clearly identify how the presentation content will address the theme or any of the following topics:

• Understanding Mental Health
• Suicide Prevention
• Trauma-informed Services
• Self-care
• Proposal Format should be in the following outline:
• Name, Credentials, Email, & Phone
• Title of Presentation
• 3 Learning Objectives
• Presentation Description & Rationale

Proposals are due on 02/29/20 and presenters will be notified by 03/07/20. Submit your proposals to Juanita Barnett at jbarnett@alasu.edu.
